Appearance:

Melisande is around 169 tall, thin, (think of certain present day supermodels here) and tightlaces extremely, her waist measures 17 cm.
She has blood red hair which reaches her waist when let down(she dyes it). Also indigo eyes, along with milkpale skin.

Her prefered clothing is white or pale lilac, lavender, or violet shades, simply and modestly cut, without patterns or frills. Most of it has oilstains or burnt holes in it
Her maquilage consists of white powder and dark red lipstick, she pluckes her eyebrows to high, narrow arches. Her hair is mostly done up in a bun.

Character:

Melancholia is, as the name says, depressive, sometimes suicidal.

Generally, she is introvarted and calm, more likely to think things through than to immediatly jump into action.
She prefers privacy, and for that reason, lives as a shut-in, never leaving the house unless absolutly necessary.
She is highly intelligent, and very skilled at mechanics. Also of a rational mindset.
She uses her drssing room for a laboratoy, where she invents intrecate mechanis that are not valued in the outside world, being created by a woman.

She has little interesst in life´s pleasures, viewing them as vulgar or even gross.
Her ideas of sex are victorian, althoug she has little use for any other notions of properity in her own time.
She is sexually aroused by fear but being a victorian girl, she would not know an orgasm if it bit her on the nose, and thus, she cannot tell arousal and fear apart.

She likes to work with her hands, but dislikes menial work. She is used to getting her way, and if she does not, she is more surprised than anything else.

Appearance:
A large, black, tuxedo tomcat, white spats and chest, a white spot on his face which looks like he dipped his nose in milk. The tip of his tail is also white.

Character: he is the fuzzy center of the universe, and claims Mely as his personal human. Her sister, parents and servants are tolerated, but other humans are attacked whenever they venture into his territory.

History:
When Mordecai was a kitten, the cook threw him and his three sisters into the channel to drown. Fortunatly for them, one of the Moreau maids saw them and thought that her household could use a mouser, so she rescued them.
Mordecai´s sisters have since moved on into their own homes, but he remains with his human, Mely.
